We are a local grass roots initiative based in Aberfeldy set up in 2004. Our main objective is to improve the appearance and environment of our town. This is clearly not something we can do alone so we workwith businesses and residents to tidy up and brighten up the town. We seek to be a catalyst by identifying projects which we communicate to the residents to seek their views, and if there is consensus seek to raise the funds to enable the project to proceed under our guidance and oversight. Ongoing liaison with many external groups including the local Community Council, Take a Pride in Perthshire and Perth & Kinross Council is vital to enable us to deliver our plans.

The Move2Improve Committee is a relatively small group which controls the finances and generates ideas for planting, projects and fundraising. Although small in number we achieve quite a lot because we work with and through our local individual supporters and local groups.

The most noticeable thing we do is the hanging baskets and planting around the town. The costs of providing this increases annually and for this we have to fund raise in addition to the financial support of local businesses who purchase baskets from us each year. We have a number of funding strands ranging from bag packs, tombola stalls and a week in the local Thrift Shop to applications to community funds and a range of appropriate grant giving bodies
